The Dean Forest Railway is a great location for your rail industry training, testing and support services.
Located just a few miles from the M48/M4 and M5, ideal for accessing from Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff or further afield. We have a mainline connection to the South Wales mainline, accessible from either direction.
Our varied facilities can be available at short notice.

- A 4.25 mile curving branchline passing through a mixture of environments, with absolute block signalling
- Track circuits and axle counters for train detection
- Testing up to 25mph
- A dedicated road/rail transfer pad
- An active mainline connection
- 18m inspection pit and jacking apron
- Representative 3rd rail
- Welfare and office facilities
- Our own locomotives and rolling stock
- Komatsu PW 130ES RRV with varied attachments
- 8000sq m car park
