This August Bank Holiday Monday we are once again running our special ‘Carnival Train’, with a diesel multiple unit shuttle train running to Parkend for the Carnival.
The procession begins in Parkend at 13:30, and we have three shuttles running to get you there in time, with the first arriving at 11:40, and picking up at all stations along the line, and the later two arriving at 12:23 and 13:08 (running from Norchard to Parkend only), plus plenty of other trains throughout the day, including plenty for return trips running into the late afternoon. We will also be running an early shuttle, leaving Norchard at 10:05, for those who want to spend some time in Parkend before the carnival.
If you’re looking to board at Lydney Junction or Lydney Town instead of Norchard, you will need to book the 11:27 departure from Norchard, but can board at Lydney Junction at 11:12 or Lydney Town at 11:16. All other departures run from Norchard only.
Tickets are available for one return trip to Parkend only, and are not valid for travel on board the steam train, which is also running on Monday 26th August – for steam train tickets go here for the round trip ticket or here for the all day rover.
