Witches & Wizards Weekend

  • Duration: 1,5 hours
  • Refreshments: Add an Afternoon Tea, Cream Tea or a Bacon Roll & a Hot Drink and collect at our café to take on board the train with you.
  • Drinks: Add a 20cl prosecco to your booking for only £6.50 (18+)
  • Food: A selection of takeaway options, including baguettes, sandwiches, pasties, snacks, cakes and drinks are available from our cafe at Norchard Station.
  • Booking: Advanced booking is highly recommended, as spaces are limited.
  • Accessibility: Our stations and steam trains are fully wheelchair accessible. Contact us before booking to ensure we know you require the space, and also to get information on our carer's discount.
  • Dogs: Dogs are welcome to travel on all trains except for the 14:30 departure on Saturday 28th October at a cost of £2.

There’s magic in the air at the railway on the 28th & 29th October!

Join us for our ‘Witches & Wizards’ weekend – make sure to dress up, as children go free if they’re dressed as a witch or a wizard (one free child per fare-paying adult, not valid on the 14:30 departure on Saturday 28th).

On Saturday 28th, in addition to our special potion competition, we will have some extra special attractions on the 14:30 train, where you will be joined on board by a visiting magician and have the opportunity to meet a very special guest – a real owl coming around to see everyone on board!

On Sunday 29th the magic shows and bird of prey displays will be on throughout the day at the stations (full details of timings will be available soon), in addition to the steam train journeys and the competition.

Advance booking is highly recommended, especially for the 14:30 departure on the Saturday, as this offers a very unique experience.
