Relish a delicious meal aboard the Dean Forest Railway!

  • Food Options: Pressed lamb shoulder, smoked Gloucester Old Spot belly pork or sweet miso & soy glazed aubergine, with a choice of caramelised peach, orange creme, toasted oat almond granola or coffee chocolate torte, blackberry puree, sesame brittle for dessert.
  • Drinks: Drinks order sent separately to prepare your drinks beforehand and get them ready for you.
  • Location: Departs from (and returns to) Norchard Station (GL15 4ET)
  • Booking: Advanced ordering is required.
  • Accesibility: Our stations and steam trains are fully wheelchair accessible, however we regret that there are no wheelchair spaces available on this service.
  • Dogs: Dogs (except assistance dogs) are not allowed on this train.

About

Enjoy a relaxing journey along the Dean Forest Railway on board the steam train, with a two-course meal courtesy of Harts Barn Cooker School and Plump Hill Farm.

Whilst we don’t have an on-board bar service, we instead have drinks pre-orders, which will be set up ready at your table before boarding (link available in the confirmation email).

Your train will depart from Norchard Station on Forest Road (GL15 4ET), travelling south to Lydney Junction, where we will then serve your dinner.

The train will then depart Lydney Junction, heading north to Parkend, where there will be a short wait for the engine to ‘run round’, during which time you may use the facilities here.

Finally the train will return to Norchard Station to complete it’s 90 minute round trip.
